First all-natural candy store NOW OPEN in Crestline Village
Indie Candy, a gourmet all-natural candy store, opened this week in Mountain Brook, Alabama. Indie Candy, located in the heart of Crestline Village, is a nut-free Candy Store specializing in homemade candies such as artisan gummies and marshmallows. All candy is made with natural ingredients and has no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. The all-natural gourmet candy is nut-free, allergen-free, gluten-free and casein-free. Indie Candy carries candies that are suitable for a variety of diets. Coming soon candies for diets such as vegan, kosher and halal will be available. Special orders are accepted, and if your allergy is a little different they have recipes that can be altered for almost any diet.
Ms. Hanson Watkins, owner of Indie Candy and creator of the candy, is passionate about sharing her candies with those children and adults that have suffered from many different kinds of allergies in the past. Watkins says, “Our commitment is to provide the best tasting and most thoughtfully produced candies available, regardless of dietary restrictions.” Indie Candy carries the best of the allergen free, organic and natural candies from around the country, particularly from independent makers, as well as artisan chocolates from local vendors. Indie Candy also offers all-natural candies for different holidays and special occasions.
All-natural candied apples, artisan gummy ghoul hands and fresh caramel corn all made in house, were available for Halloween. Stay tuned for all natural treats for Christmas!

Teach your turkey a new trick! Spice up your turkey this Thanksgiving and have your family and friends begging for more. Students will learn to prepare a Thanksgiving turkey from start to finish. The demonstration will include turkey preparation along with recipes for a cranberry-orange chutney, horseradish sauce and a recipe for an easy no-bake pumpkin cheesecake. Each student will also have a turkey sandwich, chips and a piece of pie for lunch.
